Morton discusses award-winning LinkedIn profile, insights

The Communicators Club will embrace the new year with a sure-to-be-fruitful discussion: maximizing your use of LinkedIn while discovering new ways to leverage its 675-million-member network.

Guest speaker Chris Morton will share his path to award-winning success on the platform in a Zoom-based presentation set for noon to 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 5. A $10 fee will be charged for the event.

Originally considered a useful tool for job-seekers, LinkedIn has blossomed into a comprehensive medium for corporate communications. As someone who’s taken full advantage of its resources to gain personal stature in addition to employment opportunities, Chris is an excellent ambassador for our Jan. 5 audience.

“In this webinar, you’ll learn how to get the most from LinkedIn — using both personal and business profiles,” he says. “Many no- to low-cost tips will be provided to help you and your organization get the most from being more visible, as well as generate new business and/or find suitable staffing candidates.”

This isn’t idle talk. Chris claimed the Doctor LinkedIn™ 2018 Grand Prix Profile Award title as, in the estimation of “profile surgeon” David Petherick, that year’s best LinkedIn presence.

Chris will detail LinkedIn’s use as a one-stop shop for branding, content promotion and sales prospecting; describe how businesses can leverage it for recruiting, training, personnel tracking, skills assessment and advertising; and address the key, under-utilized option of self-promotion through LinkedIn blog entries and career-advice articles.

Following the talk, attendees will receive bonus tips collected by Chris in a SlideShare presentation. He’ll also engage in a Q-and-A session.

A glance at Chris’s LinkedIn page confirms his commitment to helping others excel on the platform. For more information on our speaker, visit his Editorial Freelancer’s Association member page.
